I live in brisbane, australia and am just getting into the gym and need some new workout clothing to match.

I have been to Rebel sport and really dont think that paying $80 for a pair of track pants is fair :\

Is there anywhere in brisbane/online to get some great deals on some good brand workout clothing?

Lorna Jane is really good comfy sports-wear. The store I go to is at Westfield Garden City but I’m sure they have other stores also. You could also look "Lorna Jane" up on ebay for real bargains!

Have fun and hope your gym endeavour is a success!

i want to look good but i am 13 and a little tubby not fat tubby chockaholic just a little over weight.
THANKS SO MUCH GYUS

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

I gained 40lbs freshmen year of college and also got anemia and insomnia. I’m 18 and i weigh 167.5 and i’m 5′5. I need to know if i’m doing the right stuff and if you have any suggestions please add. I am also considering doing weight watchers or the atkins diet.

I plan to go on the treadmill everyday and do 4 miles in an hour. I also have a Cardio Cruiser which i would use for 30 mins. and I’m also going to do 100 crunches in the morning.
I mainly need to work on my stomach and thighs cause they are HUGE so if you have any other things on how to make them smaller please tell me!

I eat pretty healthy the only problem is that I tend to snack alot and especially since i’m at home now for the summer I do it more often. I also stopped drinking sugary drinks this past week and now I only drink water.

Atkins or South Beach Living, phase 2 of either, are very good lifestyle food plans. You can modify the suggested menus to suit yourself and your habits.

Crunches don’t do much for anyone!! The walking on the treadmill will do more for you than anything else.

Now for your "snacking" pleasure!! I like baby spinach leaves for snack biting!! They don’t add any inches or poundage, if you bite too many of them they bite back. Self limiting!!

I like to eat 6 very small meals or spread the food out over a whole day. I try hard to keep the grams of carb to 100!! This means very little bread or soft sweet fruits.

Lots of girls gain a ton when they go to college. I did it too!! and yep!! it is hard to get back off, but can be done.

When going places this summer, ride your bike instead of taking the car. one thing, fuel is too expensive, bike is cheaper. But it is also very very good exercise for your middle and thighs!!!

Both my daughters and their children are riding bikes this summer. All the girls need to tone up their middles and thighs. You can use a backpack to carry whatever you need to carry, like your laptop to the Hardback Cafe! But don’t give in and have the Frappes!! Have regular coffee or tea or just get a bottle of water.

I am considering a piece of equipment for my home. I’ve used all three at some point over the years, but it’s been awhile. I can’t really decide which piece to get as they all have their good and bad points. I’m looking for some extra input to help me make this decision. And if anyone has a particular brand/model to recommend, I’d love to hear that as well. I don’t need anything too fancy, but I want enough features so that there is a variety… such as tension control. I would like to know distance, time spent, calories burned, etc. Don’t need any of the music inputs, although I wouldn’t scratch one off the list if it had that. I want something that is durable and long lasting as it will be used every day, by at least myself and probably one other person a couple of times a week. I’ve been leaning toward an eliptical, but I know the least about them. I’m looking for a good solid cardio workout. I’m bored with the videos and am ready for something else to keep me motivated and change things up a bit. Thanks for any input you can offer.

i like a recumbent bike that has programmed terrain.
that way the tension automatically adjust so that it’s like you are riding uphill at times.
i like the ones at sears just as well as at the sporting goods stores.
the proform models are cheaper that the nordic track and diamondback models
sitting on the proform models is more comfortable to me.
i’ve used recumbent exercise bikes at the gym and it is the most fun of the cardio equipment to me and something i enjoy is something i will stick with.
